Beat the Heat
...If we raise $50,000, Ohio EPA will generously contribute $200,000.
Since January, we have rescued 32 distressed loads -- food that was rejected for reasons that had nothing to do with its quality.
80% of it was produce.
More and more trucking companies are donating these loads rather than sending them to the landfill. Two more refrigerated containers will give us the capacity to keep 40 pallets of food cool while our dispatch team finds the food banks and pantries that can accept lots of produce in a hurry.
A sweet peach treat or fresh corn on the cob for our hungry neighbors.
Since 2020, with your help, we’ve delivered over 20 million pounds of food across Greater Cincinnati, enough to fill 20 airplanes (747s!). But we’ve reached a critical point where donations are stretching our capacity.
These containers will help us rescue more food for more people. We can’t do it without you.
