Letting Perfectly Good Food Go To Waste?
If you want to connect good food with people who need it most, Last Mile Food Rescue is here to help.
Miles of Gratitude
We Rescue Large Loads, Too
Last Mile Food Rescue’s fleet plays a vital role in enabling larger load rescues. With a refrigerated truck, two refrigerated vans and a refrigerated storage container, plus dedicated drivers, Last Mile can rescue your large donations or distressed loads of good food — ensuring that thousands of pounds of valuable food reach people in need. No load is too large to be saved and delivered to those facing food insecurity.

Our Donors
Don’t Throw Away: Give Away!
Getting food to the people who need it most starts with our food donors. From food distributors and grocery stores with good meat, dairy or produce, to local event venues with prepared food left over from events, to restaurants with excess as menus change, to school and corporate cafeterias, and even large loads of food turned away at a dock, every donation large or small has the power to make a huge impact.
Food Donors Benefit, Too
Being part of the Last Mile Food Rescue mission feels good, but it also provides food donors with:
- An easy, reliable way to deliver food to agencies that need it – at no cost.
- The opportunity to keep food out of landfills, where it contributes to greenhouse gas emissions.
- Flexibility in donating: Set up recurring donations or a one-time pickup.
- Tax benefits.
More Hope, Less Wasted Food and Hunger
-
1. Package, Don’t Pitch
Do you have food that goes to waste? Don’t throw it out. Package it in disposable containers or cardboard boxes to prepare for a rescue.
-
2. Date It and Save It
Date and label the food so that it complies with food safety guidelines. Then put it in the safest form for rescue.
-
3. Ready for Rescue
Contact Last Mile to schedule your donation pickup. We’ll arrange a convenient time that works for you and your staff. A volunteer will pick up all the food you saved!
