Last Mile Market

Last Mile Market, a program of Last Mile Food Rescue, is a mobile farmers-style market that delivers FREE, fresh, rescued food to communities with limited access to healthy options.

Each month, the Market serves over 2,000 shoppers in Cincinnati’s communities. The Market started in Avondale and has recently expanded to the Price Hill and Roll Hill neighborhoods.

Last Mile On the Go: Repackaging Good Food

Imagine trays of pulled pork from a stadium after a game, mashed potatoes from a local hospital or chicken from a school cafeteria. Last Mile rescues large trays of prepared food and currently partners with Community Hub at Easterseals Redwood to repackage them into smaller grab-and-go containers for distribution to those in need.

At a time when 60 percent of food-insecure households report barriers to cooking meals at home, such as lack of kitchen access, time or resources, Last Mile On the Go offers relief.

  • 175,479 pounds of prepared food rescued and repackaged in 2024
  • 146,000 meals provided
