A Growing Team

2021 was not only our first full year of operations but it was a season of growth! We were able to add two wonderful dispatchers to our team to help our Rescue Heroes while they are out on rescues saving good food from going to waste.

Meet Natasha and Aaron.

Natasha started with us back in August and has championed in getting available rescues claimed. Her previous work in nonprofit and advocacy communities motivates her each morning to help us go the mile in ending food waste.

Aaron joined the Last Mile team in November and not only does dispatch, but also is our driver for large rescues for our valuable nonprofit relationships. As a Cleveland native, he is growing to love Cincinnati and call it home and is passionate about serving our community. Both Aaron and Natasha are a dynamic duo addition to the dispatch team and have provided a tremendous amount of value in our operations and help to our Food Rescue Heroes. We are so lucky to have them!

Meet Crystal.

The momentum continued in January 2022 with a new addition to our Partnerships & Programs team. Crystal comes to us with an extensive background in non-profit work focused on growing and sustaining healthy communities, with her desire to help neighbors have access to safe food leading her to Last Mile. She’s passionate about fostering personal relationships and is looking forward to working collaboratively to solve Greater Cincinnati’s hunger issues.

Looking Forward.

I am really looking forward to 2022 with Last Mile. As I reflect on 2021, the thing I am the most thankful for is the community we have been able to build. Our Food Rescue Heroes have been such a tremendous support and are integral piece of the mission of Last Mile. Our donors and nonprofits have been with us every step of the way as we work together to refine the process. And lastly our community of partners who have been donating their time and resources completes the circle of support that help us go the last mile. I cannot wait to see how our community will continue to grow in 2022 😊.
