Our work would not be possible without the food donors & non-profit organizations that give their time and resources to help end food waste. With their partnership we believe we can end food insecurity in Cincinnati.

Kind words from our Agency Partners:

“THANK YOU for all of the wonderful work you do! Thank you also for listening so closely to the needs of our agency. I’ve told everyone how much the quality of our food has increased since we’ve begun our partnership with you. What other soup kitchen is serving Capital Grille?? Our guests can’t get enough of those mashed potatoes!“

Georgine Getty, Our Daily Bread ED

“Brighton Center has been serving those experiencing food insecurity for over 50 years. Last Mile has been a positive game-changer when it comes to taking food rescue to the next level in the region. Brighton Center and Last Mile have leaned into each other so families are able to get the food they need when they need it. Last Mile’s support in picking up and delivering food to us has freed up staff time to work directly with the families we serve. This partnership is an excellent example of reducing duplication of services while striving for the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness in connecting families to diverse and nutritious food. Together we can do more, better!”

Melissa Sommer, Brighton Center VP

“We have seen an explosion of visitors over the past 2 years and would not be able to serve our community as effectively without LMFR. Their logistical expertise allows us to focus our resources on better serving pantry visitors. By bringing food directly to us, we’ve been able to serve more customers. Also, we’ve eliminated the need to replace our ailing van that rescued food as LMFR is reliably picking up food for us.  A young working mother told us, “While the dry goods you provide at the pantry are great and well needed, the best thing now offered is the fresh produce. It is plentiful, healthy and really appreciated. The ready-to-eat foods from Kroger are great too and work for my lifestyle.”

Melissa Meyer, CAIN ED
