Winter Weather Policies

Hey Food Rescue Heroes! When it comes to winter weather, it’s our top priority to keep you safe on the roads, but we also want to be sure to keep getting food to those who need it most! Here are some guidelines for how we respond to winter weather.

Volunteers

Please check the app to check whether your rescue is canceled or edited. If you do not feel comfortable doing your rescue, you are able to drop it. Feel free to call 513-449-1698 with anyone questions.  We also advise calling the donor and nonprofit before you leave to ensure a donation and that they will be open.

Food Donors

If rescues are canceled, donations will be picked up based off of the schedule that was indicated during the onboarding process. If you are unsure of when your pickup will be feel free to call 513-449-1698 for questions or if you would like to coordinate a new pickup.

Non-Profit Partners

If rescues are cancelled, donations will be dropped off based off of the schedule that was indicated during the onboarding process. If you are unsure of when your donation will be feel free to call 513-449-1698 for questions.

Stay safe and thank you for help us go the Last Mile to end food waste and insecurity!

*All rescues are cancelled when Hamilton County issues a Level 2 Snow Advisory or above*
